Opening the door to a brighter tomorrow....
Therapy allows you to open the door for healing.
Do you feel like you need to or want to make changes, but don't know where to start? Counseling provides an opportunity to address your goals, identify your strengths and break unhealthy habits.
Counseling allows for a safe space to both be seen and be heard, while receiving support, reflection, therapeutic skills and tools.
We repeat what we don't repair
Recovery allows you to heal and repair what life has thrown at you.
I offer a variety of modalities to treat addiction, mental health and life stressors. I provide a space where you can explore your struggles and your strengths, in order to live the life you’ve dreamed of. Imagine a life where you aren't bogged down with despair, anxiety, fear? That life can exist for you!
Individual Therapy
A space where you can explore issues, work on goals, identify strengths and receive support. Individual therapy gives you the opportunity to work on issues bothering you, challenging you and keeping you up at night. No matter how big or small, I will support you in working through your stressors.

Family Counseling
Addiction is a family disease and recovery is a family effort. Your recovery is as solid as your support network.  I provide family counseling as well as counseling specifically for loved ones impacted by addiction. Connection sustains recovery.
First Responders and Veterans
Help is available for the helpers. First responders and military personnel endure a great deal of prolonged stress related to their career. Often responding to critical, disturbing calls without much respite in between. Counseling to address stress, sleep related difficulties, addiction and endured trauma is available. I would be honored to help.
Independent Assessments
I provide independent assessments for employment related matters, including HAVEN and for legal issues. Independent assessments are out of pocket expenses. Invoices for reimbursement can be provided.

Meet Amy
Recovery is all about finding and maintaining a balance; it's about repairing relationships, resolving conflict and creating new habits. Recovery is about developing new attachments and creating commitments. I can stand beside you in your journey. No judgements!
For the past 20 years, I have worked in various treatment centers throughout CT. I’ve been licensed in CT since 2008. I have been on the Board of Directors for the CT Certification Board since 2018 and currently serve as the Board President.
I specialize in treating addiction and co-occurring disorders. I treat all substance use disorders, gambling disorders and process addictions and most often, co-occurring disorders. I work to break down the barriers for reaching acceptance and use the principles of 12-step facilitation as a guide. I have been trained in DBT and EMDR and help those who have endured trauma work through the experiences that have reshaped them. As the wife of a fire fighter, I have special interest in supporting First Responders.
I believe in working with support networks and families to build healthier relationships and attachments. As someone who has felt the pain and turmoil of addiction, I fully believe that addiction is a family disease. Whether your family is the one you were born into or the group of individuals you have chosen to surround yourself with, connection is the key to recovery!
